Ghost Again

How did I take this photo? Not much to it. Camera settings on my D90: ISO 200, P mode, iTTL flash and a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 – This photo was taken at sunset so there was a bit of light on the right side of the tree already. However the sun was blocked with clouds so I decided to add some flash to enhance the tree. I used a SB-600 with a diffuser to spread the light. my flash is so tall and I was so close this gave the impression my flash was off camera. After all was done, I decided to add some shadow (to darken) and some highlight to bring out colors, etc. I used picasa to do this. What you see here is the final product.
Another visit to the Ghost Ranch in Northern New Mexico yielded this beautiful old tree. More to come soon. Visit my flickr gallery here: FLICKR
